Scope and Content

The seven scrapbooks contain cut out copies of articles which Tatford wrote for a number of publications and advertisements for events where he was scheduled to lecture. Each article and advertisement has been dated and labelled. It is therefore likely that the scrapbooks were created by Tatford to remember his achievements. Tatford mainly wrote about his faith and theological beliefs. He wrote numerous articles about prophecy, The Middle East and the second coming of Christ. He also conveyed his opinions about current events such as communism, evolution and nuclear weapons. The scrapbooks contain many review articles about books written by Tatford and announcements of his various career changes. Tatford lectured regularly at small Church gatherings, rallies and large scale events. Tatford spoke about Gospel mission work, the importance of prayer, Satan and his prophetic ideas.

It appears that the scrapbooks were deposited to Echoes of Service by Tatford's second wife Sylvia (See FTP/1/1/8). The original order of the scrapbooks has been maintained.
