Scope and Content

The Oxford Caledonian Society existed to bring together all Scots living in Oxford and the adjoining district, to grant aid to distressed Scottish people in the Oxford area, and to celebrate St Andrew's Day, Hogmanay, and Robert Burns' birthday. Membership was open to anyone connected with Scotland by birth, descent, or marriage. The collection includes records of membership, publicity material, and a large number of photographs of the dinners and competitions run by the society.

The documents were deposited on 6th September 1993 as Accession 3694.

Catalogued by Anna Riggs, May 1996.
