Scope and Content

Recipe book owned by Elizabeth Jepp (1656), then Elizabeth Strachey (1697), containing manuscript recipes, with 26 recipes taken from 'Mrs Popham's book in 1729' added at the end; bound in vellum from an Indenture of 1694 between ? Chandler and Mary Clerke; with letter to Miss Strachey from EJ Glanville (her housekeeper ?) sending the book, 5 Mar 1917.
