John Jenkins Collection of Neath and Cilybebyll Deeds,

Papers collected by John Jenkins, mainly records of the manors of Neath Ultra and Cilybebyll, Glamorgan, 1632-1831; and deeds relating to Glamorgan and Brecknockshire, 1546-1933.

John Jenkins (d.1953) was born in Resolven, and lived in Neath, both in Glamorgan. He was a mineral surveyor and estate agent, as well as an antiquarian. He was particularly interested in the manors of Neath Ultra and Cilybebyll, Glamorgan, and in the family of Herbert.

Arranged into the following: manuscripts (relating to the history and literature of the Neath area); records of the manors of Neath Ultra and Cilybebyll; deeds; and printed books.
