Embroidery

A selection of small sketches dating from the early 19th century and including a number of copies from textiles at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Some designs are on pages removed from a publication, and most are floral and oriental or Persian in style. Some of the designs are particularly small, and must be handled carefully. Some designs have been attached in multiples to one sheet of paper. In such cases, no dominant colour has been recorded.
