1925 - Harry St John Bridger Philby

There is only one item in this series - a letter from John Pinches to The Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to inform that the Burton Memorial Medal is ready and waiting for the inscription with which it should be engraved. Dated 27 May 1925.

The Minutes of the Council Meeting may provide additional details of the award to Harry St. John Philby. The Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society 1925 (3), pp. 597-603, provides details of the giving of the Burton Memorial Medal to Philby and the lecture which he provided.
