  • Letters to Paish from David Lloyd George on his resignation from the Treasury, 1915. Also correspondence with Cordell Hull 1943 -1944.
  • 'The Finances of Great Britain', draft corrected by Paish c 1905.
  • 'World Restoration' corrected cuttings of Paish's articles in the Statist for issue as a pamphlet, 1944.

Administrative / Biographical History

Sir George Paish 1867-1957.

Sir George Paish was secretary to the editor of "Statist" 1881 - 1888, sub editor, 1888 - 1894, assistant editor 1894 - 1900 and joint editor 1900 - 1916. He was also a member of the Departmental Committee of the Board of Trade on Railway Accounts and Statistics, 1906 - 1908, and Advisor to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the British Treasury on Financial and Economic questions, 1914 - 1916. In addition he was a member of the Official Mission to the American government, November 1914, and Chairman of the Sound Currency Association and Deputy Chairman of the Anglo-Austrian Economic Union.
