Emyr Jones-Williams was the only surviving son of Rev. William Jones Williams, Capel Rhos y Gad, Llanfairpwll and was Gunner 243730 in the Royal Field Artillery during World War 1.

He survived the fighting but died of the Asian flu one week after the end of the Great War.
