Scope and Content

Beckley is situated 9 miles north east of Oxford. The parish was formerly a hamlet of Studley in Ashendon, Buckinghamshire until 1844.

The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library by Rev A. D. A. De Vere, vicar of Beckley in 1981. The material was then transferred to the Oxfordshire Record Office. Further material was deposited as Acc 6765 in June 2019.

A conspectus of new and old references is included at the end of this catalogue. Catalogued by Alison Smith in July 2009 with additions in January 2020.
