'The Giant Alexander' musical and film

Series of files relating to the adaptation of 'The Giant Alexander' into a musical by Bryan Barnes in 1983, and the subsequent production of a film of the story, incorporating the songs from the musical. The series includes correspondence; draft material relating to the musical score and libretto; draft and final production scripts for the film; correspondence and financial records relating to marketing of the film and sales; press cuttings; and copies of preparatory footage and the final film on VHS cassettes.
