A manuscript which belonged to David Davis, Unitarian minister, Neath, son of David Davis, Castell Hywel. It contains copies of correspondence, 1800-1801, relating to the non-admission of Henry Davis, son of Timothy Davis, to the Presbyterian Academy, Carmarthen, the correspondents including John Rowe, Bristol, Henry Davis, David Davis, Neath, Samuel Thomas, Hambrook, Abraham Rees, Hackney, David Davis, Castell Hywel and Richard Evans, Carmarthen; copies of poetry by Edward Richard, Ystradmeurig and 'Dafydd ab Ieuan Rhydderch', i.e. David Davis, Castell Hywel; miscellanea relating to the Unitarians at Gellionnen; notes relating to a comet which appeared in the year 1807; extracts from printed books, including some from the works of Sir William Jones, oriental scholar; copies of letters written by Rees Jenkin Jones and others in 1896 relating to the affairs of the Carmarthen Presbyterian College. Some of the correspondence relating to Henry Davis is printed in Rees Jenkin Jones: The Unitarian Students at the Presbyterian College, Carmarthen ... (Aberdare, 1901).
