Administrative / Biographical History

Burry Port/Pembrey Copperworks School as located in the parish of Pembrey. The school was built in 1856 and enlarged in 1894 for 213 boys, 143 girls and 400 infants. In 1903 the Girls School building closed and the pupils transferred to the new school in Burry Port.
