Scope and Content

Autograph notes, [?early 18 cent.], by William Baxter, in Latin and Greek, concerning variant readings of the New Testament found in the Greek text of the Codex Bezae (Cambridge University Library MS Nn.2.41).
The notes relate to the Gospels of Matthew (ff. 1-8 verso), Mark (ff. 9-15 verso), Luke (ff. 15 verso-26 verso) and John (ff. 27- 32 verso), together with the Acts of the Apostles (ff. 33-41 verso). The volume contains several deletions and insertions; there are occasional words and phrases in English, Hebrew and Welsh.
