Scope and Content

Letter: Charles H. Athill, Richmond Herald, from the College of Arms, Queen Victoria Street, EC, to [Leo Culleton at 92 Piccadilly, London, W]. The title of the family of Lord Kensington to a crest. The Edwards family is descended from a very ancient family in Wales entitled to Arms, which are duly recorded at the College, but not to any crest, as far as he can see. If they use that of the Rich family, they do so without authority. It seems a pity that this irregularity should be continued.
