Martin Collins was closedy involved in many of the cases and the detail of the files reflect that; in other cases where he was not closely involved files contain summary details of cases only. There are also files relating to legal and political issues relating to miscarriages of justice; and files of press cuttings relating to Northern irish policy from 1977-2004.

Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Martin Collins works in parliament as an advisor for both the Federation of Irish Societies and the Agreed Ireland Forum. He previously worked with Kevin McNamara MP for Hull North from 1966-1974 then Hull Central 1974-1983 followed by a return to Hull North 1983-2005. More recently, Martin Collins worked with Joe Benton MP for Bootle in Merseyside as a research assistant. He currently works for Chris Ruane, MP for the Vale of Clwyd and provides secretarial support for the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Irish in Britain. He has written articles for the Irish post and British and Irish Human Rights Centre where he was Director.
