Annie Beaton McFarlane was born in c.1902 . Her father was a butcher. She entered the University of Glasgow aged 18 and was an arts student from 1920-1923 . In her first year, 1920-1921, she studied History and Geology. The following year, 1921-1922, she studied French, English, Sottish History and Literature. In her third and final year, 1922-1923, she studied English, French and Logic. Annie McFarlane graduated MA (ordinary) in 1923 . Janet McFarlane was born in c.1900 . She entered the University of Glasgow aged 19 and was an arts student from 1919-1922 . In her first year, 1919-1920, she studied History and French. The following year, 1920-1921, she studied Moral Philosophy, Geology and English. In her third and final year, 1921-1922, she studied English, Scottish History and Moral Philosophy. Janet McFarlane graduated MA in 1922 .
