Canon Richard Trevor Owen was vicar of Llangedwyn from 1869 to 1901 and vicar of Bodelwyddan from 1901 to 1916. He also served as secretary of the Cambrian Archaeological Association from 1879 to 1914 and as editor of Archaeologia Cambrensis from 1879 to 1885.
