Appointment diaries, containing brief details of engagements, and sometimes with letters or notes regarding appointments stuck in. The covers of the diaries have been decorated by John Piper, in earlier years mostly with marbled or painted paper and collaged or stencilled dates and decorations. From 1978, the collaged covers also include photographic studies of nude or semi-nude figures, possibly taken by John Piper.
