Scope and Content

This series consists of photographs of Sandor Gorlinsky, Edith Gorlinsky and various family members and friends, together with photographs of various clients and friends including; Nureyev, Tito Gobbi, Beniamino Gigli and family, Maria Callas, Alicia Markova,Maurice Chevalier, Montserrat Caballe, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Peter Ustinov, Laurence Olivier, and Bob Hope.

Series also includes paintings and designs by José Varona, a portfolio of lithographs reproducing Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations for Oscar Wilde's Salome , a design by Vittorio Rossi of Zaccaria in Nabucco for the Paris-Bercy performance of 1987, posters advertising performances by Rudolf Nureyev, Maria Callas and Giuseppe Di Stefano, posters for various West End plays and musicals promoted or arranged by Gorlinsky.
