Scope and Content

In 1891 the Oxford City Councils's Technical Instruction Committee took over management of technical education in the city. The main Technical School was situated in Church Street St Ebbes (please see S200/4 for records of this school), but the site was not large enough to house all teaching, so 98 High Street in St Clements was acquired as an East Oxford site.

These records were transferred from the Oxfordshire Education Department and originally catalogued as T/ST/8. Recatalogyued by Alison Smith in February 2023.
