Agnes Hudson Lamb was born in Glasgow on 06 April 1893 . Her father George lamb was a clerk. Agnes attended the University of Glasgow from 1910-1915 , taking classes in Greek and Latin in her first year, Greek, Logic and Latin Prose in her second, Moral Philosophy, Greek Prose and Roman History in her third, Latin and Greek in her fourth, and Latin (Honours) and Greek (Honours) in her fifth and final year. She was awarded a distinction for her examination result in Roman history in 1913. She graduated with an MA in November 1915 . Agnes married to become Mrs George M Brown in July 1926 and died in Burnside, Glasgow, on 3 April 1972 .
