The Trustees of the Booth Charities

Despite the 1846 Booth Charities Act, which combined the Trustees of the Elder's and Younger's Charities beneath the inclusive title of the Booth Charities, throughout the archive it is still possible to discern a separation in the administration of these two elements.

Throughout the late nineteenth and early twentieth century the original order of the documents, the way they were created and used by their originating organisation, determines the creation of 9 sub-subfonds.
