Political correspondence and papers of Ted Spanswick, 1957-1994, relating in particular to Plaid Cymru, the EEC and the anti-Common Market campaign. Further papers not yet catalogued.

Edward H. (Ted) Spanswick was an active member of Plaid Cymru in Monmouthshire (later Gwent) from the late 1950s, and participated in the anti-Common Market campaign in the early 1970s. He stood as Plaid Cymru parliamentary candidate in the Monmouth constituency in the general election of February 1974.

Arranged into Plaid Cymru Gwent Regional Council and local branch administrative papers; correspondence; miscellaneous Plaid Cymru papers; European Communities Commission reports and press releases; and a manifesto for an Independent Labour Wales Party.
