Administrative / Biographical History

The Valley of Nantgwyllt was written by Peter Cox for his local Young Farmers Club in Rhayader. It tells the story of the Nantgwylt Valley floods at the turn of the century which created the Elan Valley Resevoir, and the effect on the local community. The 45 minute, one act play came through regional heats in the National YFC Drama Competition 1992 out of 900 submissions, reaching the final at the Gaiety Theatre in Minehead, Somerset, where it received first prize.
