Scope and Content

Personal papers of Jan Morris, including letters and postcards to her from publishers, editors, agents, reviewers, translators and other figures in the literary world, as well as academics, officials, friends, family and admirers, and also including some letters to associates of Jan Morris, concerning many aspects of her books and articles and the issues raised by them (sometimes many years after the work was first published), including invitations and requests, as well as her writing career in general and her intellectual, political, social, personal and domestic life, together with reviews of her work, official records, and press cuttings.
