Scope and Content

The group comprises original manuscripts written by T Gwynn Jones, including Mabinogi Math vab Mathonwy ar Brenin, Nodiad am Awduraeth Anhysbys y Llyfr Hunureou Sant-Helori, and a selection of the works of Ifan Llwyd Sieffre, with accompanying notes of explanation by Arthur ap Gwynn; photocopies of T Gwynn Jones manuscripts with explanatory notes on content and context by Arthur ap Gwynn, and manuscript notes by Arthur ap Gwynn of autobiographical recollections recited to him by his father in 1945. Also to be found is a group of manuscript material compiled by Arthur ap Gwynn whilst revising his father's Welsh Folklore and Folk Custom; miscellaneous notes of antiquarian interest by Arthur ap Gwynn, and a German Manuscript of the legend of Isoult, accompanied by an English translation by Professor C P Magill, University of Wales, Aberystwyth, with related correspondence between Magill and ap Gwynn.
