Scope and Content

A National School was begun in Deddington in 1814, with a girls' school opening the following year. A new school was built in 1853 and opened in 1854. A separate Infants section was established around 1875 and moved into the former girls' school in 1908 because of overcrowding. Please see CC4/67 and PAR86/14/1 for other records of this school.

These records were deposited as Acc 433 in October 1962, Acc 3140 in September 1990 and as Acc 3937 in February 1995. Recatalogued by Alison Smith in November 2013 with additions by Sophie-Elise Anker in July 2015.
