Written evidence submitted to the Nolan Committee on Standards in Public Life, 1995, with the exclusion of submissions which concerned individual cases or which were found to be potentially defamatory.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Nolan Committee was set up in 1994 at the request of the Prime Minister to investigate standards of behaviour in public life, particularly among Members of Parliament, ministers and civil servants, executive quangos and NHS bodies. It was named after its first Chairman Lord Nolan.
