Scope and Content

Founded in 1992, the Cochrane Collaboration is an international, independent, not-for-profit organisation of over 28,000 contributors from more than 100 countries, dedicated to producing up-to-date, accurate summaries of the results of reliable research about the effects of health care. Contributors work together to produce systematic reviews of healthcare interventions, known as Cochrane Reviews, which are published online in The Cochrane Library. Cochrane Reviews are intended to help providers, practitioners and patients make evidence-based decisions about health care.

Arrangement

As far as possible, archival order is in accordance with the original filing system, as received from the Cochrane Collaboration's Oxford office. File titles are given as recorded on original file folders.

The archive is divided into four sections:

2/ Methods Groups
3/ International Cochrane Centres
4/ Administrative, General

Access is available by prior appointment.
