Scope and Content

Work produced by Charles Roger Shaw when he was a student at the Huddersfield School of Art including projects for the design of a University Hostel, a British Council building, a Suburban Housing Scheme, an Agricultural Centre and his entry for a competition design for the proposed Langside College of Further Education for the Corporation of the city of Glasgow - Education Committee, mostly line drawings, all signed.

Administrative / Biographical History

Charles Roger Shaw was born in Brighouse in June 1930. He attended Huddersfield School of Art around 1948-1952. He spent his working life as a chartered architect working for Kitson and Partners in Leeds. The senior partner, Sydney Kitson designed the Edward VII wing of Leeds General Infirmary. Roger Shaw was President of the West Yorkshire Society of Architects 1991-1993. He currently lives in Roundhay, Leeds.
