OXFORD ASSOCIATION FOR MORAL WELFARE WORK: COMMITTEE FOR OUTSIDE WORK

In late 1935 the Oxford Moral Welfare Extension League became, together with the House of Refuge, the Mission House and the Mid Oxfordshire Association for Moral Welfare, part of the federation known as the Oxford Association for Moral Welfare. The League became the Committee for Outside Work and in October 1935 appointed an outside worker, Anne Watt, whose main responsibility was preventive and educational work, as well as work with unmarried parents and their children. Miss Watt resigned in October 1936 and was succeeded by Miss Florence Caley, who subsequently became the Oxford City Moral Welfare Association's first outside worker.
