Scope and Content

The records of the Stoke Row Village Assocation (SRVA), which cover the period 1939-1974, were deposited at Oxfordshire Archives on 15 February 1988 as accession 2750.

The SRVA started in early 1965, presumably as an organization of local inhabitants in matters of communal concern, its main interest being development planning in the village, and the preservation of the country site. Its news was published in the Stoke Row News. The collection is incomplete: minutes were not deposited, and the majority of the records are correspondence files. Some records of the collection precede 1965.

Catalogued by Heleen Van Rossum, March 1993.
