Administrative / Biographical History

Eryl Wyn Rowlands of Amlwch, Anglesey, is a local historian, teacher and author of articles and books. He collected papers relating to John Roberts (b. 1858), from Ty Croes Fadir, Llaneilian; the Menai Bridge Brass Band, founded in the 1890s, and the shipping and shipbuilding industries in Amlwch. He also researched the composer W. Matthews Williams and the history of Thomas Ellis School, Amlwch, of which he was Deputy Headmaster.
