Administrative / Biographical History
This collection originates both from the University of Bristol and the firms of Sir George Oatley (Oatley & Lawrence, Oatley & Brentnall). The papers relate for the most part to University of Bristol buildings, though some documents and plans relate to buildings designed by Oatley and his partners for customers other than the University, and others relate to properties which were later purchased by the University.
