Scope and Content

Plans of proposed buildings in Conway, Gyffin, Deganwy, Llandudno Junction and parts of Llanrhos and Pydew covered by the administrative district of Conway Borough & UDC. No records survive from 1879-1883. Also contains a few later plans from Conway Borough's successor body after 1974, Aberconwy Borough Council. Plans after 1951 have been weeded and only plans of new buildings that were approved have been selected. Plans that were rejected, outline applications or plans for alterations and additions to or changes of use of existing buildings or for temporary structures, on the whole have not been retained.

Custodial History

The records were inherited by Conwy C.B.C. in 1996 from predecessor authorities. Conwy Archive Service rescued the plans from Infant School, Lloyd Street, Llandudno after they had been taken there from [?Bodlondeb].
