Scope and Content
Arrangement
Some of the documents in this subcollection were tied together in bundles; however it was not possible to determine whether these were original bundles and, in the majority of cases, it was not possible to determine why items had been grouped together. Items in most of the bundles did not appear to relate to the same time period, client/family, or property (although where there was a clear connection bundles have been kept together). Retaining the bundles would render the structure of this subcollection extremely difficult to navigate, and therefore most of the documents have been removed from the bundles and put into series by manor.
