Sibford is located approximately 25 miles north west of Oxford. The parish church is located in Sibford Gower, though the nearby villages of Burdrop and Sibford Ferris also form part of the parish. The parish was created in 1840 from the existing Swalcliffe parish, and the new church was consecrated in this year. For earlier records please see the Swalcliffe records at PAR262.
The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library and then transferred to the Oxfordshire Record Office. Further records were deposited as Acc 2956 and Acc 2963.
