This church was declared redundant on 12 February 1975. On 2 July 1976 care of the property was vested in the Churches Conservation Trust.

Custodial History
The Overseers of the Poor account book [P55/6/B/1/2] was transferred to Doncaster Archives on 16 November 2012, having been donated to Sheffield Archives by Mrs Elizabeth Wild of York. The volume was formerly in the care of Mrs Wild's father, Mr Godfrey Broadhead (1920–2003), who worked as Head Forester at the Wentworth Estate and was trustee of Wentworth Charities.
