Administrative / Biographical History

St David's Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Carmarthen. The hospital opened as the Carmarthenshire, Cardigan and Pembrokeshire County Asylum in 1865 and closed [c. 2002]. A new mental health facility was built in the grounds in 2009.
