William Griffiths (1854-1959) was born in Nefyn.. His father, John Griffith is mentioned in Maritime Wales Vol. 12. William was married at the Welsh Chapel, Victoria Street, Liverpool before settling in Edern where he had five children, and where he eventually retired in 1927.
