Deeds relating to Manley in Frodsham parish, Cheshire, and to the Manley and Birkenhead families. William Manley conveyed his estates in Manley to John Birkenhead of Crowton in 1532. John’s son Adam sold the manor of Manley to Gregory Turner, rector of Sefton in Lancashire, whose daughter Dorothy married Henry Legh of High Legh in 1630 (see CWL/201).
