The "Salazie" was wrecked in Madagascar, with a large number of passengers on board, including missionaries John and Emily Sims, Henrietta Deane, W. Edward and E. Muriel Gregory and their daughter Edith, and H. Olaf Hodgkin. The account was written by Henrietta Deane of the Church Missionary Society.
