Scope and Content

Nettlebed is located 18 miles south east of Oxford and was a peculiar of Dorchester until 1846.

The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library, Oxford by the Incumbent of Nettlebed in 1980. Further material was deposited at Oxfordshire Record Office as Acc 5204 in October 2003, as Acc 5316 in August 2004, as Acc 6589 in June 2017, as Acc 6602 in August 2017, as Acc 6704 in September 2018 and as part of Acc 6754 in May 2019.

A conspectus of new and old references is included at the end of this catalogue. Recatalogued in 2004 with additions by Alison Smith in January and October 2018 and July 2019.
