Scope and Content

The front cover of the diary features a photograph of the newly constructed north wing of the Main Building (now known as the Hawthorn Building of DMU). The diary pages are interspersed with photographs of activities at the College including architectural drawing, bricklaying, carpentry, metalwork, drawing, printing, fabric printing, sign lettering, poster painting, pottery, sculpture, carving, typesetting, bookbinding, dress design, dress making, embroidery, weaving and sign painting.
