Doctor Robert Jones was born at Llandudno in 1825. In 1849 he gained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and Licentiateship of The Society of Apothecaries of London in 1860, having studied at Charing Cross Hospital.
He was Medical Officer to Llechwedd, Isa District, Conway Union, Surgeon to the Workhouse, Conway Union, Surgeon to Glyn Conway Friendly Society and The Coast Guard Service and a Certified Factory Surgeon.
From 1851 to 1861 he resided at High Street Conway, from 1862 to 1873 at Plas Ucha Lancaster Square Conway, from 1874 to 1885 at Bron Eryr, Conway and from 1886 to 1897 at 25, Castle Street, Conway where he died on August 7 1897 aged 72.
