TAX ASSESSMENTS

personal and/or household assessments for various taxes including Poll Tax, Window Tax, Duties on Coaches Waggons Horses and Servants; arranged by parish with names & amounts assessed per person [or household with additional detail e.g. relationship, occupation, for Poll Taxes] and names of assessors, subcollectors and amounts collected for each parish; each tax is recorded with its formal authorisation by Act of Parliament and separately assessed; also Commissioners meetings and Appeals; after 1696 personal/household assessments are no longer recorded [only overall parish assessments with names of assessors and collectors are included for each tax]
