Minute books of the Dagenham Division of the Labour Party (27 January 1936-10 June 1965), recording the representatives present, the election of council delegates, the appointment of tellers, correspondence received, the subsequent discussions that took place and recommendations made, concerning the policy and work of the party, as well as other affiliated associations, guilds and trade unions, with particular references to the boundaries of the polling districts and the reorganisation of the youth league, interspersed with the minutes of the Political Executive Committee. Also includes related account books (January 1938-January 1949), as well as papers and correspondence of the Building Fund Committee (September 1948-December 1976).
