Administrative / Biographical History
The YWCA [previously The Young Women's Christian Organisation] was founded in 1855 by Miss Emma Robarts and The Hon Mrs Arthur Kinnaird in London, which grew into a global movement. The World YWCA was founded in 1894.
YWCA England and Wales is a registered charity working with the most disadvantaged girls and young women in England and Wales.
