Llangadog Parish Council and Community Council records

Minute books, 1894-1986; records relating to councillors, 1894-1973; correspondence, 1942-1979; financial records, 1896-1978; tithe records, 1841-1960; poor law material, 1920-1925; roll of honour, Carmarthen County War Memorial, 1918; printed material, 1933; and printed material, 1932-1936.

Parish councils were established by the Local Government Act 1894. The records contain mainly minute books, financial statements, correspondence, copies of planning applications, and rate lists. Community councils replaced parish councils under local government reorganization in 1974.
