Scope and Content

A description of the district and some of the people of Llanbedr-y-Cennin and Caerhun. Written in Welsh and translated into English by Norman Lloyd-Watkins in 1970.

Chapters include the establishment of the first chapel, a description of the immorality and bad behaviour of the people of the district before the coming of Capel Salem, Moses Thomas, John Lloyd and other outstanding characters, Dafydd Jones Chapel House, Dr Roberts of Wrexham, Deacons of the Chapel, Evan Evans, shepherd who became a preacher of the gospel, temperance, the Squire of Caerhun [Squire Griffydd], emigration to America and stories about fairies.
